Enterprise resource planning (ERP) is a business management software—usually a suite of integrated applications—that a company can use to collect, store, manage and interpret data from many business activities.

This article discusses a  study that highlights user expectations for supply chain performance and investment strategies for the upcoming year. It unveiled a “very strong” tendency for shippers to use ERP-based supply chain software—as long as those solutions met the shippers’ basic needs.
